yeah, I very much see that point - there's no need to be obnoxious

but there's similarly no need to be obnoxious by tyranically demanding that everyone bow to your wishes when we are already in a space that permits such things. it's a bit like yelling at everyone in a pool to stop playing with a beach ball because you don't like it, even when there are signs up encouraging swimmers to bring their beach balls and a life guard who has no problem with it. if one wants a perfectly still pool in which to swim laps, the solution is to go find a perfectly still pool dedicated to people swimming laps, not to demand everyone in the free-for-all to stop for your convenience, lol

true, true. i think the problem is that a lot of people have a very difficult time placing themselves in other people's shoes. it never hurts to see things from multiple perspectives. and some people seem to think that the world revolves around them, which is never good either...

ah, i think we should start to move away from this particular topic once it starts to stop talking about what people do that we find annoying and starts to gain a more debate-y flavour; don't want to spam the thread!! xD

It seems like every movie now has God's name with the D word in it. Even Iron Man 3 had it. Plus, to make things even worse, Chicken Smoothie allows it! It's so offensive to Christians... So why is it allowed?

Personally, I don't think many Christians actually find it that offensive.
I have six Christian friends who say damnit and/or Jesus Christ whenever they're ticked off.
I've heard a minister at a Church down the street yell damnit before...
So are only Christians allowed to say it, just like (apparently) homosexuals are the only ones who are allowed to call other people gay, or like (apparently) African American people are the only ones allowed to call each other the N word?
Or am I missing something here?

Okay, so I'm in the gifted & talented program. One of the subjects I take is Language Arts. Though, I learn language arts during reading and when everyone else has normal Language Arts I just go and do my work.

Okay, so they do P.A.T.T. time. Which is if someone did something good they add one (or more) to the pros side. If someone does something bad they add one (or more) to the con side. At the end of the week they add up all the pros and minus the cons. Then that time we have to do our work, watch a movie, or play games.
So the game we did today was Guestures. We added P.A.T.T. points for each correct answer. We ended up with 36. Then, there was a bucket that had pieces of paper in it that had one of the following numbers: '0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5' on it. Someone would then reach their hand in there and pick a number. They would then take the earned P.A.T.T. Points and divide it by that number.
I didn't volunteer to do this part because I knew people would hate me if I pulled a 0.
So the teacher calls on me to pick the paper out and guess what number I pull? 0. So we ended up with 0 P.A.T.T. points and now I think some people are mad at me.
Great... Just peachy.

It has rained constantly since this morning.
I had to walk around the school sopping wet for most of the day.
The entire place smelled like wet dog, myself included.
I love rain and all, but this is a tad excessive.
