I'm really beginning to get annoyed by a lot of the 'pride!' things in signatures. Not all of them, just those belonging to majority groups. It's annoying, what's the purpose? Rather then list all the usual 'animal love pride' things that don't really have a meaning, I'll get to the point and list the two irritate me the most. And they are:

"Straight person pride!"

and

"Cristian/Catholic pride!"

No, no, no! You do not need to declare to the world that you are part of an unchallenged, vast majority. It's blatantly condescending, as if your problems are the same as those in the minorities, and it will be beneficial in any way to show the world that there is yet another straight Cristian person. It isn't. Other straight/Cristian people do not need to know that they aren't alone, because there are so, so many of you. You have all the benefits of being a majority(safety, not being attacked for this trait, general acceptance, and much more). There is no need to show it off.

My family don't understand that I'm wired differently from them. They're all about academics; most are headteachers/teachers/professors at universities, and all my cousins have at least a lower level degree in something like in accounting, physics, medicine and maths.

Then me. I love art, photography, writing, reading novels, music, foreign languages, and acting, and I have ideas about travelling and meeting people, specifically to Japan/China. I have a Diploma in acting and I'm a qualified Zumba instructor.

They can't understand why I'm an emotional person, why a piece of music can give me goosebumps or make me cry, and why I can get attached to characters in games/books/novels. I don't know why, I just...Qualities in some characters I can identify with in myself, and there are some characters with traits I wish I had. They are real to me, ok?

Please stop laughing at me, ostracising me from everyone else and please stop saying things like "I never knew you could do..." or "I never knew you liked..."

I have been alive and visiting all of you for many many years. Saying things like those above breaks my heart, and makes me upset. Stop, please.

if you ignore someone who is mentally ill when they cry out for help, say a schizophrenic
dont complain if they go and possibly hurt people

those who are mentally ill can and will do things like that if they dont get the proper help, and leaving them alone isnt going to make anything better

there is really no way to say "but I followed you to hear YOUR thoughts, not to hear you roleplaying everything as this character and having little to no idea of the line between IC and OOC" and be polite about it

hopefully an "ok, let me know when you come back" was good enough

she's probably going to explode at me now, which means that the last chance i had of contacting her sister, one of my supposedly best friends, is now gone

ha ha hardy har har ain't it hilarious. i think this is my cue to start making irritated remarks about not being able to trust siblings and generally become even more of a cynic
