No; I've purposely sought out ghosts even in apparently extremely haunted areas and I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe that.

I'm not too sure if I believe in ghosts or not. But since I was young, I have always been deathly afraid of ghosts. Even when someone mentions it, or when stories are told (like the ones in this thread), I become extremely scared. I can't stand to look at pictures of ghosts, even ones that are clearly photoshopped. So I guess part of me believes in ghosts, or else I don't think I would have this fear. But I try to convince myself that ghosts don't exist, as I, or my friends or parents, have ever seen or heard one. I get the feeling that I'm being watched way too much for my own comfort, but I usually dismiss it as just a silly fear. I recently just moved into a brand new house, in hope that a new house can't be haunted. I don't know if this is the place to ask, but is it possible for a new house to be haunted?

Lucid Dreamer wrote:I have moved house about 2 months ago, and there has been ALOT more goining on than just a harmless bump in the night.

Firstly, my bedroom door has slammed shut in my face, i have heard something clawing at it, and it keeps opening and closeing, i saw a two little girls, one, in my bathroom, she was wet through, after i saw her, wet hand prints have appeared on my bathroom wall, and one on my door. My dogs refuse to enter certain rooms and will growl and bark at thin air. Me AND my mum have both felt a hand touch are backs, my dad has also heard voices ((and my parents have NEVER believed in ghosts)) and when i was home alone, i was sat on the sofa watching a movie with my dogs, when i suddenly heard what sounded like someone moving furniture, convinced we were being burgled, i crept upstairs, ((brrom in hand and dogs in hot persuit)) it was coming from my parents room, i went in and there was nothing in there, and my dogs whined and backed away from the bedroom door. Scared silly i ran back downstairs and rang my dad to come home, as soon as he walked through the front door the noises stopped. I ALWAYS have the feeling of being watched, i have also felt breathing on me and heard my name being called, but what makes it worse is that i have woken up with cuts and stratches all over my body, mostly of smilely faces. It is now getting to the point where i am too scared to enter my room alone, or even be alone.

Even in a brand new house? I watched it being built up from the ground.

you never know what it could have been built on.
maybe an old cemetery, or a place where someone was buried.
building that house there could've provoked them or something of that sort.

[ this is but an opinion, i don't claim nor do i believe i'm an expert of the paranormal ]

If it's a new house, it could be left over energy from the land, or any antique furniture you may have. It might also be your imagination. If it's just the 'somethings watching me' feeling. If you get scared, try humming, it might help you calm down. Or tell whatever's watching you to leave you alone.

Also, Lucid in response to your experiences, if all of that actually happened to you (I'm not saying your lying but JESUS CHRIST that's some serious stuff), I'd show your parents the cuts. Look into cleansing your house. Salt has been known to protect against spirits, so spread a little bit around your room. Put some sage in each corner of the house. When you see the spirits tell them to go away, scream it, like you mean it. You have to be very assertive about it, like if a dog was playing too rough with you. I've heard that sometimes they'll leave you be if you do that. Those are just preventative actions though. Seriously, seriously consider getting help. Because, if the spirits are harming you physically they won't stop, and it might get worse. They sound like they're pretty pissed, and pretty malevolent darling.

Again, opinions. I'm not an expert, just someone who's quite superstitious ^_^

The upstanding church-going law-abiding tax-paying citizen who votes democrat or republican is far more despicable and a bigger threat to humanity than the most
promiscuous lazy drug-snorting hippie. Why? Because the hippie is willing to let others be free and the voter is not. The damage done to society by bad habits and loose morality is nothing compared to the damage done to society by the self-righteous violence committed in the name of the State.
