Yes, but I'm on there right now. No harm done.

Woah woah woah, guys, you're all confusing me here. Should we or should we not use Oekaki?

My opinion here, so you can disagree, but I won't be deterred. Especially if you mainly use Java for Chibipaint on CS, I feel it is safe enough to continue using it. No one has yet to say they got the malware from the Chibipaint on here.

Alright. I think I'm going to keep using it. Because really, I've got Webroot and Ad-Aware on here, and I'm not going to update the Java thing. I just want to do art. :c

well iv been told that the ransom virus has been around for ages, just in different names etc.

you know how trojans have multiple names but pretty much do the same thing.

oekaki doesn't collect data since you dont type anything into it.
just make sure that all your security is up.

maybe use something other than nortan since as mentioned above nortan is rubbish, it was the cause of a crash for my laptop while others managed to pick up the virus better (it wont pick up certain things)

anywho, keep your security up, scan your comp like a quick scan maybe everyday if your worried and a full scan once a week since these take about 3 4 hours depending.

dont click on any ads and dont click on any weird emails (you know the gist)

the oekaki should be fine, i had been using for hours during the weekend and i left it running for about 3-4 hours yesterday before i found out. everything seems fine.

like others have said it might ages to to completely fix and java has always been questionable about their security, its used everywhere on phones, in cars etc.

the new patch seems to have helped a bit apparently so if you really need to use java then uninstall java then reinstall the new one but like i said just be extra careful on where you go and what you click.

if you dont use it at all then go ahead and disable so you can see what uses it and what doesnt since it will ask you if you want it on before you do anything.

hope that makes sense, i tend to ramble ^^

I'm a little nervous that my computer has been affected.
I use oekaki here a lot (i stopped using it after i was this notice a couple days ago; i think sunday)
but my computer just froze and went to a blue screen, blue screen of death actually.
so i restarted my computer, it seems fine now but was a little slow at first.
I have norton security and uninstalled java from chrome (only web browser we use)on monday so i'm not sure there is any more i can do or if i got that from the java virus.
Anyway, just wanted to see what you thought about it since the timing is such spot on.
