Well I got my fur samples and oh my gosh are they soft. My parents keep asking me to explain what I want to make. I think I've explained it ten times now. And I think my mom thinks I'm stupid for wanting to make a fursuit.

aww, that sucks about your mom Liongirl D8 all these horror stories about parents are really not making me want to tell my mom I'm a furry, even though my mom is really open minded, she's one of those 'like what you like, I don't care' people X3 but I still don't know how to tell her D:

Just tell her you want to make it for a halloween costume. They take a long time so you're getting started early. That's really the easiest way to deal with it. Your parents don't have to accept why you want to make it, but if you need their permission to do it, then tell them something that won't freak them out.

I don't think my mom really is one of those people. When I told my dad I was pretty sure he wasn't even paying attention to me. But seriously? I was planning on paying for the fur myself and all of the supplies myself. They act like I don't understand spending and saving money. I understand that 25 dollars a yard is expensive! /rant

EDIT: @Kari: I don't go trick or treating anymore though.

I just think if it's something you really want, you should find a way to do it. So many people on here just complain about how their parents won't let them do this or their parents wont let them do that - if it's important to you, you would find a way to do it rather than just complaining about it.

hehe I'm 13 and I still Trick or Treat X3 or, I probably won't this year, cause I'm just planning to hang out in the graveyard near my house with my friend so we can scare people, I'll probably just buy a big bag of candy at the store instead of actually trick or treating,


I need to save my money, (which unfortunately I'm very bad at,) for fur so I can make a suit of Aloki (the snow leopard I posted on the last page)for Halloween. Although, if I actually do my chores it shouldn't be hard to save :P

My mom squees like a little girl whenever she see's the jaw move. >.> I'm actually getting sick of her wanting me to get my mask and show everybody. But before this, when I would show her pictures of fursuits or if she'd look over my shoulder to see the pictures, she would always think those people were big wierdos. Not as bad anymore. ^-^ It grows on them.

I pass out candy at my great-grandmother's house, I think the kids would love it to see something like a partial fursuiter there. Much rather than me running around like an idoit in a cowsuit. >.>

To tell my mum I was just like, "Hey mom, can we go to Walmart?" Of course when she asked questions I just told her it was some projects I was making for the fair. Of course we went, and I got some upholstery foam, and then she asked some questions then I answered them. Not too hard.

Anyway I'll probably just make a partial because I'm still growing and the partial parts seem easy to make(other than the head) and some parts I won't grow out of.

I wish we had trick or treaters here, but we're in a rural area. But this halloween me and my friends are planning to go to my friends neighborhood and go trick or treating.

I live out in the country, but some kids still manage to stumble up our doorsteps asking for candy. Just because we like to see what we are doing, doesn't mean we want our candy taken away. >.> But now that I don't go trick-or-treating for Halloween, I don't care, because it's not my candy. xD -candy selfish-
