Seems like a few of us collect model horses. so Lets see some of your collection.
Me, I dont have too many nor do I have alot of fancy ones but I enjoy them just the same.

Here is my entire collection of models. I used to have many many more but lost them all in Hurricane Katrina. This is my new collection, made possible by quite a few people.

I have had atleast 1 Breyer my entire life. The Set up top, the Appy with Brenda, was my 1st set I remember owning. Of course that set isn't the original set, as that was destroyed by a hateful Bully when I was 8yrs old. Mom said before them I had a palomino western horse.

Alot of mine were gifts from my husband and his brother for christmas/birthdays. The nearest retailer is over an hour away tho so I dont get the traditionals often. Target and one toy store here carry the stablemates so I have LOTS of them. Tuesday morning get them in sometimes and a traditional will cost under 20.00.

yup, sure does. I love the pain your own sets. The stablemate one at hobbylobby uses resin horses, not plastic.

ah, i'm not to into the horsies but when I saw the PYO I had to have it. maybe if i won't fail I'll buy the one where you sculpt and hair a horse

I have a tiny brush set i bought off line ( i want more but i fear it's a discontinued prodcect) and had paints someone gave me (they perfere having students mix colors rather than let them have 10 kinds of green) so i had better paints and brushes.

what they give you for the tiny ones is so unfair. "hey kids look what you can do use your imaganation!"
yeh, a brush that is to big and cruddy paints. Like a 7 year old is going to be able to color them like the pros do?

Yea, thats why I bought my own brushes and paints. Ive gotten to where I can even do realistic eyes even on the little 3" models;

I love model horses <3 sadly, I haven't been into collecting them for a long time. I do have at least two Breyer's though, my favorites <3 Big Ben (dressage) and Cigar (racehorse) They where the first ones I got =3
