- dear school and staff,
as you know, it's my final year here before i move on somewhere else. the last time i'll walk your halls as a student will be monday when we go to clean out our lockers and practice for graduation. it's crazy to think that i'm finally graduating and moving on. the school has been like a second home to me the past nine years of my life. although i don't quite care for some of the people there, i'm still going to miss it there. not too much, though. it was honestly starting to feel like a prison there.
the past nine years my life was put through hardships at this school. i went through so much, so did my friends. none of it was ever handled properly. that's one thing i won't forget. how unfair it was for us who weren't "popular." how we were treated like dirt for liking different things. the teachers knew it too, but no one stopped it. no one did anything. you can deny it all you want, but i'm stupid. i know more about you all than you think. you thought you were helping, but you weren't. people got hurt and they still haven't recovered.
although i'll miss my friends, as most of us are splitting up this year, i don't know that i'll miss the school all too much. because it wasn't the school that made me feel safe, but my peers. yes, some of them are pretty cruel sometimes, but i love them all. they've been apart of my life for years. it'll be nice to finally get away from all the drama queens, but it's only to meet new ones next year.
all in all, i love you. thanks for giving me a good nine years there. no, they weren't all amazing, but the memories are. i'll cherish these memories forever.
with love always,
s
