Wow...I never realized why I loved this song so much until today. It's more than just a Twilight theme to me now...it's an anthem for the journey I've been on with my mom and her infection. I thought about how my mom must have felt while in the hospital during the parts in D minor, and how I became so blank for a while and fiddling around with the piano and playing this tune was one of the only things that soothed me. Then I smiled and almost cried when I remembered how our family pulled together in the end when the song cascaded into G major. It's like I could sense that things would be alright in the end. It's already been getting better...and the comparison is just beautiful. Then of course I like the fact that it's about transformation and change, and also that my friend helped me learn it. (: }
