When I adopt a character from someone, I like to get the character art.
Now, when I get the first piece of art, I like to show the person I adopted the character from the art.
If they completely ignore me and never respond, I never tell them about any other art after that.
Also makes me uncomfortable showing other people art of adopted characters.
And that, is why said people sometimes think I'm not using said characters.

Also that there are worse things to worry about being called than 'dear' or 'honey'
