.. I'm halfy an outcast too, but I'm KINDA like you, except with a differentish type of personality, but not that diffferent. And I've survived all my years.

Try acting like you do on CS, it may make you feel better, and may help you survive :)

You make a very good point ;..;.
And I mean shape up mentally. Because right now.. I want to do something so badly but I Can't get myself to do it. I don't know why. I really want to write something but I won't write or find excuses for myself not to do something I want to do like, I'm not comfortable enough or I'm to hot or something.

Its even harder when you dug yourself into 13 (14) years of doing it.
That was my reason to go to public school cause I thought it would fix my lack of motivation.

This totally depends on the school you'll go to, but my main discovery as far as high school goes is that it's not like the movies. It's not "Mean Girls," or most likely not in your freshman year. XD
Most of the 'preppy' or 'cool' girls won't be that mean to you for no reason. They'd probably rather ignore you. If you get forced into group work with them, they might be mean. But at my school, not many people besides your friends will give a flying fish how your hair is cut/dyed or the clothes you wear, as long as your skirt's not too short and your shirt's not too low. Then they might really tear into you, if they think you threaten them boy-wise.

If you like zoology, studying the habits of the young males in your high school may interest you. XD

Now, I can't always pay attention in class either. But some things may be easier than at home. For example, no easy access to a computer at all times. And even if you're on a computer, there is a chance your school will block access to websites like this on the school computers.

I would say go for it, at least give it a try. Plus in most schools, 80% is a B. Passing is a low C, (about 70%) depending on what school you go to and what kinds of classes you're taking.

I have my mother’s dreams,
I have my father’s eyes.
You can’t take that from me.
Just go ahead and try.
The Crescent City sleeps
while giants in the sky
preparing to unleash,
let loose a mighty cry.
Can nobody save us?
Will anyone try?
Pyre is burning,
the severance in tight.
And all along, they’re saying:
Help is on the way
(they said, they said)
Help is on the way.
They never came.

I even know a 12 year old achoholic who was thretning my friend to *Discreet things that could get me kicked from CS to say * do some stuff... I can only image how the 14s are around here xD.
But thanks for the rest of the help :3.

No problem =)
Eh the guys sound awful, and I didn't mean necessarily dating them or anything. Just watching their interactions and hierarchies. In some ways, they're like wolves or something. Like, the taller, louder, or stronger ones are usually on top of the totem pole. But, certain talents can put them back on top. I know a guy who's probably one of the shortest in his little 'pack,' but he wrestles for the junior varsity team, so they don't mess with him 'cause he'd get them in a humiliating headlock or something. Demonstrating certain wrestling moves on a person is like, the ultimate dominant gesture.

/End slightly offtopic ramblingXD

o__o Public schools of America seem quite.... speeshul.

APART from all that social strangeness Americans seem to experience to the high extreme, I think school is the right choice. It will regulate you to a method and will split your time for you.

(I myself wish I was homeschooled, because even if I'm in a private school, I am very frustrated by the time I lose listening to other people's orals or the teacher passing 200 hours on an easy subject because he managed to make tons of exercices out of the matter >_< But in your case, it would greatly help, I think.)

Ahem. Well, here be my thoughts on the matter. :3 I apologize in advance for any rambling that may occur.

I think you should give it a go. Since you've never tried it before, you've got no idea what it's going to be like- it could really, really suck. But then again, it could be totally freaking awesome. (Well... As awesome as it's possible for school to be, anyway. :p) If you really hated it, could you possibly go back to home schooling? Because if so, then I would say definitely go for it. It'd be worth trying just to see what its like. ^^

Cheetahfly wrote:I would probably advise against it and about the social thing when you go to high school you will not be greeted by a bunch of super nice people who want to be your friend. Some high school kids are stupid, immature, self centered, cold, rude, and self absorbed. It is not nearly as fun as in the movies. In school you can learn how awful people can be.

Public high schools can be dirty, smell horrible, have a bunch of stupid people walking around, and teachers can also be horrible, you have to work very hard just to get by.

I don't agree with that. You're right about school not being at all like in movies. I've found that the stereotypical "cliques" and "groups" you get in most films don't actually exist, or aren't quite as... Clear? As movies portray them to be. However, I go to school in Australia, and an all-girls one at that, so I guess that might affect things a bit. But it can't possibly change the situation that much.

And another thing- I've also found that there aren't any really horrible kids that want to become you're arch enemies and are out to get you. Mostly, everyone just tries to be nice. If you don't go out of your way to be mean to someone, you'll be just fine. Sure, there will be people you don't like, but it's not like you have to hang out with them.

Yes, people in high school can be awful. But they can also be really awesome and really nice. It is absolutely impossible that you will find no one that you like at least a little. And so what if you think you're a bit weird? A whole lot of people are. (Leik me! 83) Most likely you'll meet some fellow weirdos and you can all have fun being weird together! :D Woo!

I go to a public school, and it's perfectly fine. Yes, getting up early is a terrible thing. Yes, homework and assignments and tests are the scum of the earth. Yes, some teachers are the devil incarnate. But the most of the world's population has dealt with it and survived.

O_o I must be slightly out of my mind. I didn't think I'd ever be convincing someone that school is good. XD Please don't get me worng, school sucks. Or the 'learning' part of it does, anyway. The recess and lunchtime bits are okay. =3
