Sooooooo...
I think I may have angered the guild I'm currently in in WoW because I was writing out my opinion about levelling pallies from 85-90 (I got to 90 this afternoon) but obviously, the best way to tell someone NOT to tell you what to do is to say that you have had more play time on your said character. Yeah well I have around 80 hours played on my DK, does that make me a pro? No, I haven't played it seriously since patch 4.1. It would have saved us both a lot less 'hurt feelings' if you had just said, 'thanks for your opinion' or something along those lines, but when you pull out the played time card it just makes you look like a tool. I mean honestly, you even said yourself that you play holy/ret, I play holy/prot (and ret as an occasional spec) and I actually do progression raiding, well did do progression raiding, so I have been put under the stress of a whole raid taking heaps of damage and having to heal through it in the best way possible, having to time cooldowns correctly for certain bosses when tanking to ensure I don't die (y'know, Madness?), and from what I can see you haven't, so I would say I have the same amount, if not more of current and RELEVANT information on paladins.
TL;DR, don't say because you've done X longer you're better, because it really depends on how much you've practised, experimented and have been creative with whatever you're doing.
Second rant, after that little cat fight everyone seemed to side with the older member, yay. Nice to see favourism, and it's also nice to see how mature everyone in the guild is when they pass on snarky and rude comments in guild chat, I mean, it's not like they're more than 10 years older than me or anything and should know better manners.
