I used to sing professionally for about 9 years of my life, then stopped because I had no time. Whilst doing so [and through high school as well] I did a lot of music theory, but was never tested by the RCM for my theory "level". Therefore I'm able to take a course this semester which is called
The Rudiments of Theory.
I took it knowing I would ace it and get an A.
What I didn't know was that I would literally be learning... THE BASICS.
Tonight my three hour lecture is:
Chapter 1: Lessons 1-3
“Staff line, pitches, ledger lines, keyboard layout, note names, treble clef and accidentals”
SAVE ME NOW. I don't think I can sit through three hours of that. xD Thankfully the prof said we can come and go as we please. If it wasn't the first class I probably wouldn't bother going, but I would feel bad not attending the first lecture.
