I locked myself out of my room - barefoot.

This probably doesn't sound that horrible except for the following: My roommate isn't even here yet, and neither is anyone with keys to let me back in. Still barefoot, key-less, and phone-less, I had to get a hold of security to come up to my room and unlock it for me. I looked -- and felt -- like a complete moron.

All of my friends worked through lunch, leaving me to eat alone.

Not too shabby, right? Just gotta toughen up and pick a table. Except today, the football team, soccer players, and RAs ate as a group. As they're the only ones on campus other than myself [a worker] along with my worker friends, I walked into a cafeteria alone, with no group. I ate as fast as humanly possible with about 150 people watching curiously - or was it with pity?

Again the same fiasco, but ah ha! Now I knew what was waiting in store for me, so I decided to avoid it. I called for delivery thinking, Gosh, I'm such a genius. Except LOL FOSTER, NOT SO FAST: Chinese delivery was unavailable because their delivery guy was sick; Pizza Hut doesn't deliver in this town; the other pizza place only takes cash or check [guess who only has plastic?].

OKAY FINE, I'll walk to the gas station.

Obviously the most logical choice - it's close, it's beautiful outside, let's go for a walk. Easy breezy. Except for that wicked sweet moment when your flip flop catches on the uneven sidewalk and you land right square on your face. Hello scraped palms and knees, it's wonderful for you to join the party! After hurriedly waving away the poor old man that tried stopping his van to help me, I made it safely to the gas station, and had an uneventful return to campus.

Mmmm, cold Spaghetti-Os and teriyaki beef jerky.

The kitchen was locked.
