So, this girl used to live at her grandma's in our neighborhood from ages 2-7. back then she was good friends with my little sister. She lived with her grandma because her mom was in jail. Her mom got out of jail when she was 7, and she moved back with her mom. We haven't seen her since. Apparently she moved back in with her grandma a year ago because her mom went back to jail. So this is what happened:
i came home from babysitting yesterday. My two little sisters were home. A few minutes later, they heard something upstairs, and freaking out ran outside with a phone. (they do that anytime they hear something. It usually turns out to be a cat, plumbing, etc.) So I go upstairs to reassure them that nothing was wrong. The animals are all acting completey normal. The dog isn't freaking out or running over my ankles, the cats are laying around and hiding as usual. So I get the impression that nothing is wrong. I go upstairs, guess who is on my mom's bed petting my cat? That's right, the 13 year old neighbor girl. I was shocked. So I picked the cat up and asked her how she got in. her mom taught her how to unlock a locked window and take out a screen. I responded by telling her to put the screen back as she left.
The more I think about it now, the more i wonder if this was the first time she has done this. i mean, the dog wasn't barking. And the cat she was playing with is a rescue, and she took months to warm up to us. She wouldn't even come out for a first time intruder, let alone come up to them and snuggle in their lap. Something is seriously not right here....
That. Is. So. Creepy.
Really, I'd freak out.
