I don't really enjoy Dubstep all that much, though I don't hate it either.

Personally, love Metalcore bands, such as Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, and Avenged Sevenfold because I enjoy the punk aspect that's twisted into the music. I also particularly love Screamo music, as long as I can understand it to a point, like if there's too much of the song that I can't make out/comprehend, then it's not likely to hold my attention for long.

I don't really like the fast jittery rhythmless dub step but I do like the nightsteps that have a big bass drop ;) As for heavy metal I haven't really found any bands I like yet but screamo I love

I dont really like dubstep.. Mostly because it just sounds like a soft rock version of industrial.. which I /love/

Einsturzende Neubauten, Nitzer ebb, Throbbing Gristle, Zoviet France, Die Krupps, Project pitchfork, psychic tv... etc.

I say, for anyone who's looking for harder stuff, the hardest music I have ever found was throbbing gristle. They're from the 70's and scare the pants off me. "Very Friendly" and anything from "the endless not" are pretty crazy good. A lot of their earlier stuff is too.

Though, cabaret voltaire's "photophobia" is pretty scary as well... as is einsturzende neubauten's "armenia".

If anyone wants a good introduction to industrial listen to these:

and if anyone can stomach it, there's this song:

its pretty intense.

I swear,if you kids dont listen to this stuff, it's going to go extinct.

Death, black, thrash, and doom metal for me. Can't stand screamo or most of the newer bands out today. "Look-what-I-can-do" riffs, 50 tempo changes, and clean whiny vocal breaks seem to be how the younger generation defines metal. That ain't it.

Favorites are Bolt Thrower, Pestilence, Darkthrone, Tsjuder, Kreator, Electric Wizard, Candlemass, blah blah blah, nobody knows these bands. Late 80s black metal and 90s death. Classics like Dio, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Warlord, Diamondhead etc should go unsaid.

I'm too old to understand the electronic music of today. To me it sounds like crap and I did make an effort to understand once. But, as with all styles of music, I can appreciate what influences brought it to the forefront.

I'm a big fan of 80's and 70's electronic music. Too much stuff nowadays is just sampled.
You listen to any deathrock? Christian death, alien sex fiend, etc?

I don't know what that is. It doesn't sound appealing off the bat.

I remember liking some Monika Kruse when I was a teen.

I really like dubstep. Not so much a screamo/heavy metal fan, though there's a few exceptions.

I love dub step, techno and all that... Stuff tastynetwork on YouTube posts, pretty much.

As for metal... I used to like it, but not anymore. Never liked screamo or what people call death metal.

Favorite music overall is game, movie and tv show instrumental soundtracks though.. Nothing beats those epic songs, IMO. Take assassins creed soundtrack, or pirates of the Caribbean or.. Any game or movie pretty much.

I love bands like Mindless Self indulgence, Black Veil Brides, Three Days Grace, Rammstein etc. i don't like separating my music by genre though, so im not entirely sure if all of the above count as "metal" or "emocore" or "death-techno" or whatever people are calling it now(ive seen all of these before used to describe some of the above bands). im kinda into metal/techno, but i also listen to soundtracks(the corpse bride soundtrack is my fave), and other varying artists like U2, Norah Jones, Seether. Dubstep is certainly not my favorite, but some songs I do like. I honestly don't think it matters that much what genre it is classified as, as long as I like the song.
