I find dubstep really good exercise music. For example, in crew whenever we have to do a 10k on the rowing machines, our coach blasts Skrillex because she has noticed that our times are lower with dubstep.

As for Heavy Metal, I listen to it when I'm angry. Helps me get out my anger without hurting anything or anyone.
woah guys, i'm back, after a very long time.

Dubstep sounds awful to me. I tried listening to some a few times, but I could never get through a whole song. It makes me feel nauseated.

I do love heavy metal, though.

All three types are too 'intense' for me. The pitches in dubstep are sometimes physically painful, and metal and Screamo are simply 'noise overload'. Metal isn't as bad as screamo in that sense, but it's still a little more than I can handle mentally.
I'm very sensitive to sounds so, in general, those types of music are just types I can't listen to comfortably. I have nothing against the styles or the fans, though, so long as it's not forced on me.

I can't stand dubstep... There's just too much going on. Always leaves me disoriented.

As for metal, I do so love it. I like the slower stuff mostly, as fast metal is just about as good as dubstep for me. My favorite are Architects UK, American Head Charge, and sometimes Devil Wears Prada. I don't know if ADTR is metal, but they're pretty damn good to.
"The starkblast comes suddenly, you ken. One moment you're warm as toast--because the weather always warms up before-- and then it falls on you, like wolves on a ruttle of lambs. The only warning is the sound the trees make as the cold of the starkblast rolls over them. A kind of thudding sound, like grenados covered with dirt. The sound living wood makes when it contracts all at once, I suppose"

Since it has not been made clear enough, apparently, I DO NOT WANT TO TRADE. Don't send me trade offers, don't PM me for trades, I WILL IGNORE YOU.

Some dubstep is good, some of it is just crap.. I like the remixes of mainstream music and mixes you find on Youtube, and artists like mau5, Skrill, etc...

I also like metal. MSI is one of my favourites, but my friends say I don't look like a metal person. Hmm.

Actually, I like some songs from just about every genre. :3

I love metal! Folk metal is my favorite. Bands like Tyr, Turisas, Korpiklaani, Finntroll, Eluveitie, Alestorm, Moonsorrow, Arkona, and Ensiferum. I do like death metal and power metal and other metal types, but folk is by far my favorite. I just wish there were more US folk metal bands.

As for dubstep, I don't think I've ever heard it, but from the way people describe it, I don't think I'd like it. I'd rather stick to my metal anyway. But maybe I'll be bored enough to listen to it someday and give a real opinion instead of this senseless drivel.

I like Skrillex. Other than that and a few other assorted dubstep songs, I haven't listened to enough to say whether I'm a fan of the genre or not.
NEVERMIND. While typing this post I decided it was pointless so I spent some time on Youtube... Me and dubstep, over the course of an hour, have become inseparable.
The one thing I don't like is that often there's not enough going on in the song for my taste, which is peculiar since so many people on this thread have said its too much noise for them. I don't like such light, non-progressive intros that I see in some dubstep songs.

I hate screamo. I like heavy metal, and I don't mind some screaming, but music like Bring Me The Horizon which is all screams isn't my thing.

you can call me Blue~

"No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous—
Almost, at times, the Fool."

I really like Skrillex, but not any other dubstep artists(I just like the metal aggression and chaos mixed in with plain old electronica xD). I don't like most metal, however I do love Nu-Metal and Alternative Metal. My friend is crazy about screamo, but it's just kinda eh to me. It sounds a bit off-beat to me, and I don't really like death growled lyrics..
Hai everybody, I'm a bit inactive on CS right now due to other things having grabbed my attention for the moment. Please feel free to keep on sending me messages and trades(sorry, not accepting trades at the moment), however, because I do still check up on CS daily, and I will still answer them. Thanksies.

Dubstep is okay. I'll listen to it on the occasion.

Heavy metal, not really my cup of tea.

I don't really know what defines screamo, though. I like Blood on the Dance Floor, Breathe Carolina (Their cover of Down) and the Paramedic (Especially their cover of six foot seven foot) but I can't stand screams like Cannibal Corpse. To put it bluntly, I prefer false chord screaming. Cannibal Corpse is harder to understand, since they do the growl screams. Born of Osiris is okay, though. I can understand them, more or less.

I listen to a lot of dubstep and screamo, however I am picky about my music.

I don't like to specify what kinds of music I like because I like specific songs rather than genres. If I like a rap song, then I like a rap song. it doesn't mean I like rap. If I like a couple classical songs it doesn't mean I am a fan of classical music, necessarily, just that i like those songs.
