She's never heard of Slenderman...
Does this mean something?

She may have heard of slenderman, but is unable to remember... it is true that things, especially people that you see in dreams are people you've walked pat in the street at some point in time...

please note... I am currently a resident of Britain and on most nights I'm upstairs and in bed by 11pm GMT so I have a tendancy to miss the times when most rp-ing is done... so pre apologies if I don't always respond to stuff straight away

I'm kinda confused , I have no dreams , but I very rarely get a dream , if I do get a dream it's only good no bad dreams at all . I have a guardian angel is that that is working it's magic or is there something watching over me out there

Dreams tend to be tricky things because its kind of hard to tell the difference if you do it or if it is something outside. I'd say its quiet possible :)

I had the scariest paranormal experience ever. I was at home and then some books were thrown at me. No-one was there and my book shelf is far away from my bed and they floated before they were thrown. Then, my door was opening and closing continuously and then some things fell off my shelf. Then, the window was rattling and there was no wind as it was a sunny day. Then, random texts started coming through my phone that were scary and it said stuff that I don't want to repeat. I was petrified.

Well, last year when I went to Texas on vacation and the hotel I stayed at is over a hundred years old.... So, I thought it would be fun to go on a ghost tour for the fun of it and to get away from my mom nagging at me all the time... Anyway just down the street from the hotel was a steakhouse. Inside the steakhouse was a picture, of a woman behind her was a haunting figure of some sort. I dunno if it was fake or not but, it sure looked realistic. The hotel has a creepy feeling itself, the 1st floor is basically the lobby and a large room for people who preform at the bar down the street, the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor. Course' the 2nd floor is where all the action is, "haunting" that is. Alot of people have 'heard' or 'seen' odd things on the 2nd floor. Maids late at night collect little breakfast fill-out things in case the guest wants breakfast provided to their room the next morning. The papers must be out by 12 o'clock A.M. So the whole thing in a nut shell is they let maids travel the floors at 12 o'clock at night to pick up and collect the papers in which some have reported sightings or sorts. Me, I heard the elevator coming up toward my floor when I wanted to go down. The door opens and no one's on. Me panicking remembering the ghost tour from the night before quickly runs toward the stairs not wanting to get in the elevator in case there is something in there. Running down the stairs almost tripping down the stairs finally making it to the lobby while my heart's racing. Still lucky me, my room was on the 2nd floor. What makes the whole thing worst is one night I swear I heard an odd banging on my door. Opened it and no one was there.

As for rituals, I've done little things like Bloody Mary. But, right before my Grandfather died weird things started happening at my house. To understand whats weird is where my house is 70 years ago is where my Grandfather's house was when he was growing up. The house was destroyed after his mother died, and rebuilt about 7 years ago when me and my mom moved back to take over the farm. Books were tossed into the floor, the alarm system going off at night for no reason were a few things that happened right before he died. Me and my mom believe that was his mother searching for her son. My Grandma and Grandfather only lived a bit down the road at the time. My Grandfather was a strong man though, he had 5 strokes in his lifetime. His 5th taking his life. He died at my Grandma's house I personally thought his spirit would maybe rest there if anywhere. My mom thought different thinking he would rest at his old childhood territory at where my house was and is at that time. After his funeral me and my mom went home. Right after we walked in the door she grabbed my hands and started talking to my Grandfather. Begging him not to spread wrath and to watch over us. I was kinda young then so I was scared and tried to break away at that time I was scared of scary spirit, ghost and haunting things. About 3 months later a golden retriever or dog started barking one night outside the window. I don't have any outside pets so it kinda made me wonder. The dog left and my mom swore that was my Grandfather taking a role of a dog to check on us.

Trust me none of this above I have shared with you is a lie.

Hotels typically are homes of residual energy, older hotels such as the one you stayed in normally have pasts of deaths and things, creating haunting plus all the activity of people coming and going tends to 'feed' the spirit so it just sticks around. Most of the time they don't mean harm and the weird things that do happen are mostly residual energy (which is why I never sleep when I go to hotels to much stuff going on in the room for a decent night sleep). It's nothing much to fear of :)
~~
Spirits can technically do as they wish and most of the time are not grounded to one specific space, of course some of them are. Considering the way your Grandfather died its quiet possible that he resides where ever he feels he is needed, or where he has been called upon (Since he was requested for protection he will be where ever there is protection needed). You said the house was destroyed? But I'm amusing no one died in it. Still the land can hold history and there is always the possibility of it indeed being your grandfathers mother or some other energy. This energy might act up in the presence of death (ie your Grandfathers death) but it shouldn't happen to much, if it does its nothing to worry about. :)

I always have such intense nightmares... They go to my triggers. My sister, my mom.
standing in the eye of the storm, my eyes start to roll to the curl of your lips,
in the center of eclipse, in total darkness i, i reach out and touch

my mind's gone a racing on a horse that's escaping
and I'm ready to jump, yeah I'm ready to swim

life is chances that are taken but nothing's ever broken
they're just pieces on the ground, new hands need to build them
