I think it was some other rather silly people who made up this false prediction.

But of course it won't be long before someone else makes up something that's stupid and not true.

I don't think the Mayans predicted anything, it's just when their calander ended

Well, we survived. Apparently it was just the end of their calendar; just like our calendars end on December 31st and restarts the next year, the Mayan calendar would have continued on. And so we live.

Who knows why the mayans didn't contuine their calander, maybe they just got board.

Weird fact, December was acctualy the tenth month and not the 12th, Dec meand ten, the only two months that don't fit are June and July, created by Julis Ceaser.
