Lol this xD I'm personally a HUGE fan of D.Gray-Man, I mean obsessively. Katsura Hoshino-sensei is my idol, man. I even decided I want to at least try to make it as a Manga-ka because of her(and CLAMP).
Occasionally I'll be like "Hey, have you read/watched DGM?" or if they haven't "You should, it's an awesome series." but other than that I leave it alone, unless the other person is a major fan and then we both geek out over it xD

But if you keep on pressuring someone, it's just going to be a turn-off from actually wanting to like the series and they'll just get too annoyed to even try it. I figure just mentioning it should be enough, and if they take interest, great! If not, oh well, better luck next time(with someone else, of course).
I can't get into a lot of things(MLP, Homestuck, Bleach, One Piece) because of the frickin' pressure to watch/read them :B
