The reading choices of today's youth has declined with the past generations. ene Does anyone around here know what good literature is? Or have they started teaching Twilight as a literary accomplishment in school?

I read Frankenstein this year just for fun, and I had a billion people say "oh, what class is that for?" and then they stared at me like I was crazy when I said I just wanted to read it. It was so pathetic. Seriously, what's so wrong with the classics? I love To Kill A Mockingbird. Heck, I named my dog Scout. And Shakespeare? I'm not sure how they even still allow that in schools, it's freaking hilarious! There's just no respect for the classics, man. It's so sad. Popular literature just simply sucks these days.

Are you my twin or something? That's exactly like me. I'm so shy I'm scared to pm anybody on CS. When I'm walking on the street and see somebody coming I try to avoid them even if it means running through bushes.

I know what you mean. >~> I read The Turn of the Screw the last semester of school, and it was amazing. I also read a lot of Sherlock Holmes when I was... younger. Considerably younger. I love the classics, but I like other literature as well. Ender's Game, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. A lot of science fiction.

Ugh. DX I don't want to go to camp.

Well, it's decided for sure that I'm going to Anthrocon. While I want to talk to everyone from CS and meet all the awesome members who will be attending somehow I know that I'll be standing off in the corner nervously watching people and wanting to talk to them but thinking they'll think I'm weird. I wish I wasn't so socially awkward.
