I cannot stand to see my polite and kind mother sick. Her voice is shaky and fragile. She read one of my stories and kept complimenting about it to me. I feel as if I am sick by seeing her in pain. Why can't we just switch places?

The whale war people are fighting against these people who hunt an abundant whale species. They've been doing it since the 1500's on this island and they kill them humanely. They only kill 400 every year, and the population of the species estimated to be over 1,000,000.
