Re: Track & Field/XC Discussion! Come all runners!

I just needed to post here!! I'm a track runner, or more specifically a sprinter <3. I participate in the 100 open, 4 by 100, 400 open, and 4 by 400 ;D
Track is the one and only sport I do, and I put all my conditioning into it. Our school at the moment is doing a lifting & conditioning for off season and it has really helped get into shape, and build up muscles we've never had before.

I just had my first "meet" (all-comers) of the season and I finally broke six minutes in the mile!

@Rainbow
    that sucks , :c I hope you get better soon!<3

    oh cool I didn't realize there was a thread like this :)
    I've been competitively competing in running since I was 8. cx Now I'm in highschool. I prefer running 400m, which is definetely my strongest race. I also run in cross country but I stopped that about 6 months ago. c': Maybe I've just gotten lazy x3 I used to run 800m , and I train mainly in 2-6km to make sure I'm not totally out of shape when Track season comes around in June. :)
    My time in Grade 8 for 400m was 1:10 seconds, and that was a while ago so I've [hopefully] improved. :)

You probably did, high school training is much harder than middle school training. I think I ran around a 1:07/1:08? It was always for a relay though, since I'm mostly a distance runner.

    Yeah it is xD I always feel so pressured in relays because of my team. I guess I'm just
    better on complete individual races cx

Haha for me, relays are fun because you get to work together. I just don't like being anchor.
