I've been off running for four weeks because of an ankle injury. I lost everything I had gained, and it's disheartening. I refuse to give up though, and I'm beginning to ease back into it. It just kinda sucks watching everything you had control over, were proud of, and you know you had put hours and hours and hours of hard, agonizing work [including the blood, sweat, tears, pain, and wanting to throw up, give up, and collapse because it hurts but not being able to associated with it] just spiral away from you and knowing that you cannot do one little thing about it but strengthen, stretch, and wait. Also, watching everyone you were running with grow and get better and knowing that you are right back where you started and they will be getting better when you are still trying to play catch up. :'c
