Hey, do any of you guys know how to stretch your side? I've been running, and my right side has really been hurting. Since it's been hurting for about two weeks, I'd say it's not just a regular cramp; it's more likely some muscle-type thing. Do any of you have suggestions or experiences?

I was talking about track to my best friend and she decided she would do it too! I'm so excited! She is gonna do summer track and said she is gonna try spring track. I have a feeling she might drop out of spring track though. It's a bit harder than summer track. Who knows though. I'm excited she's doing it though!

I'm not sure when the sign ups for spring track are, I hope I don't miss them! ^^ I can't wait to sign up. Taking a season off from running was tortuous to say the least. x3

Finished my first half marathon in 1:48! That's an 8:19 pace.

We had our first mile repeat workout yesterday :( I have been sick and I hadn't run for a week so they were not very fun.
I ran 6:05, 6:18, and 6:12 with five minute breaks in between.

We had our first track practice yesterday, and I got light headed and almost threw up halfway between our sprints. >.< While I'm having issues, everyone else seems fine. Its so embarrassing that things don't come so easily for me, I have to work really hard at it. X'C

Don't worry, this xc season, I started off sick and I collapsed after one mile and the coaches banned me for a week, but once I got into shape, I broke all my school course records except two. Sometimes it's a little hard to get in shape but it's always worth it!

This sort of worries me; track practice starts close to March 10th and I haven't really been doing much running. I know I am capable of the sprints that I chose for my events, but since I haven't been practicing a lot, would that happen to me? Like... do those things happen to a lot of people?

I'm definitely going to run and build my stamina as much as I can before track starts up, but my dad (who did track and field in middle school and high school and did all the events) says I shouldn't really worry about it. Should I worry? I love running but I'm afraid I'm out of practice. I'm not out of shape though. I dunno.

I've been off running for four weeks because of an ankle injury. I lost everything I had gained, and it's disheartening. I refuse to give up though, and I'm beginning to ease back into it. It just kinda sucks watching everything you had control over, were proud of, and you know you had put hours and hours and hours of hard, agonizing work [including the blood, sweat, tears, pain, and wanting to throw up, give up, and collapse because it hurts but not being able to associated with it] just spiral away from you and knowing that you cannot do one little thing about it but strengthen, stretch, and wait. Also, watching everyone you were running with grow and get better and knowing that you are right back where you started and they will be getting better when you are still trying to play catch up. :'c
