    Yay, more hurdlers! :D

I got fourth in the mock district meet in 300m hurdles. It was really disappointing, because a girl from a rival school got third and beat me by only .07 seconds. I got fourth out of 24 in prelims, and 4th out of 8 in the finals.

^ If you can do the steps in four (for middle school) or three step, 100's are much, much easier, because you can sprint them, and you have a set number of steps. In the 300's, you have to pace yourself and it's very tiring. As far as I know, there aren't any set number of steps because they're so far apart, so you have to adjust your step. Personally, I like the 300's because no one else does. xD

You probably won't be running events (100, 200, etc.) on your first day anyways. Your coach will probably decide what events you run, so don't prepare yourself for a certain event just yet. Don't worry about it! Just go out and have fun.

thanks. Me and my friend who will be in track also have been running 1-3 miles a day, just to get our bodies ready for everything.

That's a good start! You'll be ahead of all the people who have been sitting around not doing anything! Those miles will pay off.
