One of my classmates does track, and he tripped over the hurdle in a race and face-planted into the ground...apparently it happens quite often to people. It sounds really painful.

It does happen somewhat often! Everyone hits a hurdle at least once a practice (way more if its raining)

My coach has me on 300m hurdles and we have our first meet today! All of our previous meets have been cancled because it was so ridiculously cold. I'm really hoping this one doesn't, I'm ready to get it over with.

My first one was supposed to be today. But it's ridiculously cold here too!

We live in a place with decent weather so our meets are almost never cancelled. :/ I really want to do hurdles but my knee was bothering me so my coach said no. :(

Good news! I went on an overnight trip for track and I got two major PR's there...I also have broken all three of my school's freshman records for distance! :D It was a happy weekend for me...

Oh heeeeey I have one Thursday too But it's limited to 3 people for 60m hurdles so two seniors and someone who's jumped for two years are going.

As for me, I run XC/indoor track/T&F. Distance year round, woo! I run the 1600 and 3200, but every once in a while(like twice a year, including indoor and outdoor), the coaches will throw me into the 800.
This weekend is our first meet on Saturday the 30th. It's spring break so not everyone will be here, I would estimate just under 1/2 the full team. I'm only running the 3200 this weekend. I signed up for the 1600 too, but I didn't get it. the 1600 is my favorite, personally.

Hello everyone, i'm in 8th grade and this is my first time trying track.. for me right now, it's Wednesday, and my first day of track is next Monday... i'm terrified!!! I love sprinting.. but I just don't know if I can deal with the pressure of being in front of so many people! any advice...? sincerely, Terrified
