Running Quotes
Cross Country runners kick asphalt!

Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.

Our sport is your punishment.

Pain is weakness leaving your body.

Real athletes run, everyone else is just playing games.

Feel free to chat about it here! ^^

Please remember not to give away your age/personal info!

Anyways, I am both a long distance and a short distance runner. I run the 1600, 4x400, 4x100, 3200 Long jump, and on occasion, the 800. My PR for the 1600 is 5:24, my PR for the 3200 is 11:54 and my PR for the 800 is 2:27. The longest distance I've run at once is eight miles 13.1 miles, but I think I could have gone longer if I had trained. (my time was 1:48)
I am also an XC runner and my fastest 3 mile is 19:23, but my proudest time is 19:37 at Mt. Sac. My greatest running achievements for XC is making it to CIF prelims as a varsity freshman. I missed qualifying for finals by five places! I came in first at the Mt. Sac invitational in my division in the freshman race and got a cow bell XD. I was also MVP for varsity girls which I didn't expect at the beginning of the season O_o.
My sophomore year I qualified for Prelims again, but with my team this time. I improved my Mt. Sac time by quite a bit, but missed Finals again. Next year I am determined to make it! I was given MVP, Honorable Mention All-Area, and First Team all League.

im no atheletic but i have competed at school for altheletics/xcountry.

I have done the 75m hurdles which at the time came up to my lower waist (i was around 12 then and probs just 1.5m).
at middle school we all did a xcountry run and i was pretty pleased as i came 10th out of everyone in my year. (year 6 which is 10/11 years old - i think i've got worse) personally im more of a dancer anyways.

there probably won't loads of disicussion as the seasons only just started for altheletics.

I did do long distance at one point;
I ran the 1600 and 2400, both were great.
My best time for the 1600 was 6:11, and for the 2400 10:00. If I had stayed, I probably would've improved a bit more. c:

But I do love to run, and I do it still.

I throw Discus and Shot put. I started track my senior year unfortunately. I loved it and I wish I would have done it sooner.
