Now I need some help getting over him. Since we are going to stay friends, i'm not going to continue with this crush. Time to move on! Any tips?
Let me start out by warning you that getting over someone can be difficult, depending on how much you liked them. Don't expect it to all get better in an instant. It might take some time. But here are a few tips I like to use when I'm trying to get over a guy.
1. I usually start by getting out a piece of paper and writing down how I'm feeling. Just vent! You're never going to show this paper to anyone so don't be afraid to be vulernable. After you write all that down, try reading over it. You may find that it helps you sort a few things out. After that feel free to throw out your note, or keep it if you want. Whichever you'd prefer.
2. Another tip is trying thinking of all the things you dislike about your crush and focus on those. This may not be the best approach as it may make you a bit moody towards him for the next few days, but it does work.
3. Lastly, try focusing on the future instead of the past. Anticipate future crushes, and don't dwell on old ones. Maybe give yourself a day or two before hanging around Max again. Try viewing him as you would view any other friend, nothing more.
Hope this helps you!
