Aww, that sucks! That's even worse than the battery going (I had to get a new one late last year because it pretty much completely failed on me). XD

If it's still under warranty take it in asap; if not you can usually get a cord from a store like best buy which had the plugs for chargers you can use temporarily.

We don't have the money for a new one, unfortunately. My laptop has 2 hour battery life because it was around during the War for Cyberton. :l

As long as it's not the actual socket in the computer, you'll be fine. New cords are somewhat expensive but you can easily find a universal adapter that will replace the cord at most major computer stores. If it's the actual socket and not the cord, then you're in a bit more of a mess. But if it's still under warranty, ask the manufacturer first. /got 2 new cords from Dell that way, lol

I wish my parents would be home sooner. I need to go to the store, and my dog needs to run around outside, but I get nervous leaving her all alone outside (even though our yard is fenced and very safe).
