My geometry teacher told us a story today.
He started with a story everyone knows. Thomas Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark to explore the Louisiana Purchase. On the way they met Sacagawea, who had a baby. According to him, the baby's name was Sohcahtoa.
He then added that Sacagawea must of loved geometry, because she knew that Sine equals Opposite over Hypotenuse, Cosine equals Adjacent over Hypotenuse, and Tangent equals Opposite over Adjacent.
Put the bold letters above together and you get Sohcahtoa.
I highly doubt that was really her baby's name, but it's a great story. xD
