? Singing (audiences, YouTube, etc.) ?

I have practicing my wining all on my own for a year, and only my sister and a couple of friends have heard it. They say I'm really good... Well, I would like to try my hand at online contests, then hopefully in public, but two problems: I'm supershy on stage, and I almost always use an iPad for Internet. So. How do I overcome staged fright and how do I record myself singing on an iPad and post it online?

And also, mods who see this, maybe we could have a forum for singing and acting arts?

And... I'd also like to maybe post me singing on CS to see what people think, just so I know I'm not horrible. I think that would give me some courage to maybe perform or enter a contest.

Maybe you could borrow a camera from a friend? Or use a webcam? I haven't heard you sing but I support you! I love singing and I kinda had the same Idea as you but, I'm also supershy on stage xD I'm pretty good too. I hope you can find some kind of recording device. If you have a computer or laptop you can upload a video of yourself from your Ipad (if it has a camera) onto the computer and upload it on youtube.

Aww, don’t be afraid! I bet your a good singer. I think everyone is at first shy on stage. However, once you do it once, you will have no trouble at all. That’s what happened to me. Best of luck!<3

From experience I can tell you, it's not easy to overcome stage fright. It took me awhile but now it's just like. Don't like me? Fine.
Just gotta learn to know and accept that some people will be harsh but, most will be impressed you had the guts to go up there in the first place!
For recording yourself. If you have a computer you could always go out a buy a Headset. If no computer you can always go out and purchase a cheap camera, and use you schools computers to upload it... with teacher permission of course. Or even a friend could help ^^

You sound exactly like me! I used to have a terrible stage fright! (still do, but not as bad) What I suggest is joining a choir. Before I joined a Children's Choir I never could sing in front of people. But being in a choir built up my self confidence and now I'm perfectly comfortable performing! (most of the time...) hope this helps!

You can take a video on your iPad but cover up the camera with something, do your singing and when you're fished click the little options button on the video you've just done, and it should say 'upload to YouTube'. You have to have a YouTube account first though, I've done a little bit of singing on YouTube myself, I'm probably not as good as you though x3 This is my username if your interested - xWonderboltx

For stage fright, just take deep breaths and calm yourself right down before performing, perhaps even try meditating before hand?

I use a blanket to cover up the camera on my iPod ^^.
