In order to graduate in my school, you need 8 semesters on gym. That means that it's impossible to drop a gym class. You always have to take gym. I used to think that this was stupid, but it never seriously bothered me. That is, until today...
I can't take Honors Chem without taking Earth Science. So I'm taking them both next year. I also want to be in both Mixed and Women's choirs. Ambitious? Maybe. According to this "you must take gym" rule, very. I've spent hours looking at schedules, and there is no way that I can take all of these classes, in addition to gym next year. I've talked to my counselor, and there is nothing I can do, because it is a state requirement.
I find gym, oh, sorry, P.E., to be the most pointless class ever thought of. The fact that you have to take more gym classes that math classes in order to graduate at my school, and possibly state wide [I have yet to research this] is just plain depressing.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it yet. I'm just ranting. But still...
