2, the user did not steal those pets. If I am correct, you simply added them by mistake in a trade and they accepted as a gift. If this is the case, the Nick can reverse it for you if it's a good enough reason.

the only thing what you can do is to ask the person to give you the pets back, but try to be very nice as she don't must do that. if you sending pets in a trade without adding things from your partners side it's like a gift. If you want the person to offer something you must send it as suggestion.
