Year of the Cat

I was bored earlier and thought, 'Why isn't there a year of the cat? If there was, I would say it was the extra days added on in a leap year, so the days of the cat. XD
Any supporters of the year of the cat? I think us Chicken Smoothie members should celebrate the year of the cat on leap years.

One more thing, does anyone know someone born on the extra leap year days? What the heck do you do if your birthday is a leap year?

The year of the cat does not exist because when the zodiac animals were being decided on, the rat tricked the cat into believing that the race to decide the animals was in two days, when it was really the next day. What makes it worse is that the rat cheated by jumping into the ox to win the race. But I do beleive there should be a year of the cat, so I will see if anyone agrees we should call the extra day in leap year should be in it's honor.

Yay! I found someone who is with me!

I heard that story, too. My sister is a Rat, along with my mom, grandma, and great grandma. I am a Tiger. I love the Year of the Cat. The Rat should have been kicked out, not the poor, innocent, cat.

I was just told that if you are born on the leap year, you celebrate your B-Day on march 1st. :3

apparently there isnt a year of the cat because:

Once, the Jade Emperor thought it’s better to assign an animal for each year so people can remember the Zodiac cycle easier. So he decided to hold a meeting with all the animals and he will elect 12 of them to be the Zodiac animals in the meeting. At that time, cat and rat are close friends, just like brothers. They are very excited for the meeting and decided to go together. The cat is a sleepyhead, hardly woke up before noon. Night before the meeting, he ask the rat to wake him up the next morning. The rat agreed: No problem, take it easy, I will wake you up for sure! The cat felt assured and had a sweet dream. The next morning, the rat got up early and quietly, washed and brushed, left for the meeting alone.

When the cat woke up afternoon, he knew it’s too late. The news about newly selected 12 animals were everywhere; and the rat is the first of them. Felt betrayed by the rat, from then on, the cat turned into rat’s enemy. So that’s also why cats are always chasing after rats.
