What tablet's best?

Postby ~Whitey~ » Fri Jan 27, 2012 10:34 pm

Hi Everybody. I'm looking for a tablet and I want suggestions. I have no idea what to buy. I just want a normal one for drawing and maybe a little photo editing?

Tablet from Bamboo.

Which one you buy is not really matter, but get one from Bamboo.

Honestly, and this is a contradictory opinion, but i would avoid any wacom products, including Bamboo. They are way overpriced for what they are. If you really feel the need to spend hundreds for the Wacom name, then go ahead..... i recommend not to.

I have a Bamboo Pen and Touch. I've played with so many different tablets, but this one is my favorite. And it came with Photoshop too XD It works as a touch pad. But I've heard bad review from non-Bamboo models, and two of my friends had to replace their non Wacom/Bamboo tablets.

I picked up a drawing tablet at wallmart for 40$, i didn't even look at the brand.... I've had it for two months, with no problems. This tablet suits my needs, I'm not a very talented artist, and i am going to see if i can find the brand name....
edit- found it :) this site is not where i got mine, though.... http://www.aztekcomputers.com/WHTH580-G ... 92964.html

I have an Adesso CyberTablet and it is really good. I'm not a good artist, so I don't know the exact level of how good it is, however. It comes with Photoshop and an art program (ArtRage). I was fairly happy with ArtRage, although it got frustrating because you could not move things (which I do frequently). The pen is mostly easy to use and it has pressure settings. I do drawing on the computer although I am better by hand, so I this helped me.
My friend got a Bamboo (don't know the exact one) and she had a lot of problems with it. When she tried to set it up it didn't give her the art program it said it came with, so she took it back. They didn't have the same kind so she had to get a different type, but the drawing space was very small. She took that one back and hasn't set it up yet, so I'll let you know when she does.
Hope you find a good tablet!

we gotta live before we get older
do what we like we got nothing to lose
shake off the weight of the world from your shoulders
oh, we got nothing to prove

i said hey, it's alright
does it make you feel alive
don't look back,
live your life
even if it's only for tonight
i said hey, it's alright
if it makes you feel alive

- alive, one direction
