I've seen you've been having problems lately with your pet.
I don't know if my advice will help. I'm not a therapist.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but there is nothing to worry about. Everything has to go away at some point. Firstly, I want to explain one idea of mine to you.
I want you to see my perspective of death.
Death is something a lot of people fear, but everything has a death. (Just a little quote of mine; "Crazy is the man who embraces the meaning of the unknown (death), or crazy is the man who runs from the unknown. (death)") So you understand, the universe, people, ideas, and pets will all have deaths. Now, I will list some reasons you should not worry about death. Then, I will link these reasons to your pet. (Plus I am hoping he/she is okay and the problems goes away and she lives)
1. Death has a reason. Without death many things wouldn't be the way it is. Man would never wonder, man would never search for a point in life, religion wouldn't exist. You can add onto that list, there's many more things.
2. To understand life you have to understand death.
3. Seeing things you love die is painful, but just think about the pain those dying have to have when they see you in pain because of this.
4. Death has a great power to reunite things. Families can get together due to a death. I know some countries have rituals about their dead loved ones. Death in those countries aren't thought of as evil, it is thought of something that reunites their family. (Maybe you can reunite your relationship with your pet even if he/she passes)
5. When things die even if you do or don't believe there is an afterlife, they will be in peace. Even dying and not having an afterlife is peaceful. In my opinion living an immortal life (or an afterlife) would be a living nightmare. Living causes more pain than dying ever does. To add on, if you have ever read reports on people who have came back to life, they always describe one thing. It's a peaceful feeling. The same one you get sometimes in your sleep, but you don't suddenly get up. You just become coated in that sort of peace. (Just imagine that, ahhh it's soothing to me) They also describe a sort of drop in their problems. Like all their worries were lifted off of them.
6. Understand things always have reasons. A death could mean something and make you realize something very key and important in life. (Maybe you could find that key thing)
To connect this to your pet. I know if he/she does die it won't be painful. He'll/she'll be in peace knowing that you've loved him no matter what. Plus your pet could help you realize something about yourself or about life. Look deep down and see if you can find anything, maybe you will. Whatever is going on, just know it will be fine either way. He'll/she'll be happy either way. Try to look for a happiness in you. Maybe you can find that you know you've loved him. You know he has had a good life. Know that he wasn't locked in a pound because you cared for him. Just imagine the happiness he felt in your care.
Hopefully this will help.
Sincerely,
Raven
