I did but I'm having trouble putting it into my calculator, and I want the total percent (getting the percent chance of the originals is not hard...
5% chance for 5/72 to be the one you want
10% chance for 4/72 to be the one you want
and so on,
and I end up with 15/72 but it's not weighted so I tried again this time calculating the %chance to choose both "a" and "b"
(by multiplying chance of event 1-5 * the number of chances the event offers... 5/100....
25/1440
40/1440
135/1440
60/1440
10/1440
but when I add those it's 3/16 chance .... do I divide that by 5? so 3/16 devided by 5 = 3/80
is my chance to get my combo 3/80? or 3.75%

I believe I can work this out. It won't be easy but I'm pretty sure I know how. :) I will do it after I finish my homework. It will take a long explanation so I'll do it over pm or send a link to a blog post I'll make.

Can I apply to be a tutor for math? I consider myself to be .. somewhat good at it (I started 7th grade at 8th grade honors math) ?
I mean I can't help with really hard stuff (I might be able to), but yeah.

TYPE OF QUESTION: Math - word problem
YOUR QUESTION: Lila and Sheela were given some beads. While making necklaces, if Lila uses four times as many beads as Sheela, Sheela will still have 932 beads when Lila has used all her beads. If Lila uses half as many beads as Sheela, Seela will still have 221 beads when Lila has used all her beads.
(a) How many more beads did Sheela have?
(b) Altogether how many beads have they been given?

(This isn't technically homework - I'm revising test papers from previous years. This was in Singapore's PSLE, meaning it's for twelve-year-olds, and yet I can't solve it. D:)
I'm socially awkward and sometimes terse - don't mind me.
