if all goes according to plan, this little one-eared baby bunny has a home with me. ❤️ he's a little netherland dwarf. my friend Zeke in British Columbia breeds them, and he's waiving the adoption fee, i just have to pay shipping. Zeke says he's very sociable, and he loves to give kisses. we'll be getting another one with him, too, so that he can have a friend (and we'll be neutering them both lol) because rabbits do best in pairs.
this little dude (and his buddy) will be trained to hop on a harness and socialize in public, because i want to train them to be therapy animals. we would be a team, and visit hospitals, rehab centers, and senior homes to brighten the lives of others.
i never knew a bunny could be so healing until i got teddy, and he gave me my life back. he passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day. no one will ever replace my sweet teddy boy, but i am hoping Onesie the One-Eared Wonder and his future friend are worthy successors.
normally i would adopt from a shelter, but i need to start training them young, and it helps to know their backgrounds and history beforehand, as well as who you're adopting from. if i was just looking for a pet, then i would definitely go to a shelter, but i need to be more careful with a therapy bunny.
