Ooh, nice! And you went to a con? How was it? I’m always curious to hear about one’s experiences since I’ve never been to one myself c:

It was fun! It was a small local comic con in its first year recently, not a large or furry one. But there was a lot of amazing vendors so I went broke. People were super nice as well; my friend and I were worried that we'd run into some rude people given it was small and not a furry convention but no one seemed to bat an eye and we kept getting people wanting pictures with or of us, especially kids, so I was pretty relieved!


Also don't worry about how long it takes you, it took me almost 2 years to getting around to finish my deer boy, Faucet. I started the base back in early 2017, got a head commission that tied me up at the end of summer until early 2018, and just never picked him back up until late 2018 where I'd completely forget about working on him for months at a time until I finished him last week before the con after my friend asked if I wanted to go suit at it haha

Ah I’m super excited! I lined the mouth and detailed/added the nose! If anyone sees a problem please let me know here or via PM- I’m making a blue tongue soon too. Also I’m ordering fur this weekend and in the meantime I’m starting to pattern. If anyone has any shaving/furring tips let me know because I’m very hesitant around their eyes right now.


Also their name is Nanook :3 they’re a husky- I had a vague ref for colouring but since this was my first full suit I didn’t want to attempt something hard so I made them up on the fly. So my ref isn’t quite accurate to my vision

Update: my eyes are lined and they have a tongue (only pinned for now)! Starting to tape so I’m ready when my fur comes in a few days

XD lining makes them look big but most of it will be covered to make it even anyway <3

Taped and transferred to paper because I’m bored waiting on my fur sorry again for these huge images! The patten is symmetrical and this’ll be easier to trace onto fabric with paper

I'll get a photo of this later but my current suit head is yellowing at the seams. I don't know what type of fur it is, it's a very short pile white fur. I do know it's a foam base.

Is there anything I can do to fix it or is a refurb in order?

Hey, so glad I found this forum! I can't wait to share & discuss with you guys.

Got a bit bored of doing coursework today and procrastinated by making a new headbase! This is only my second attempt at making a base but I tried to improve off the last one by including a pickable nose, it's also completely hollow which makes it insanely light weight! It was carved out of a single foam cube using a similar method to the one I've seen makers like starry kitsune use whereas my last base was just built off a balaclava. It isn't done though, I still need to add ears and stuff but I won't have any fur for it for at least a good few months yet so I'm not rushing it.

If all goes well and I don't change my mind I'll be turning it into my cow dog character Bo!

im really thinking about making my fursona a head..never done it before, so i have no experience!

I looked into this a bit and maybe oxyclean? Others are suggesting bleach/water mixtures but I honestly wouldn't trust bleach around any non-white colors for obvious reasons. I would personally suggest a carpet cleaner but not too sure if that would help with yellowing from age

Well guys, I commissioned Creature Haven Fursuits last year for a full digi suit of my fursona, a Kaiju named Charlemaigne! She is scheduled to be completed in April!

What advice do you have for the care and keeping of a fursuit? What are your tips for traveling with a fursuit? My boyfriend and I are contemplating making it to MFF this year but we haven't decided yet.
