yeah, and then other people will chew you out if you diss a well known. . . and then the unknowns attempting to be popular side with the well knowns in hopes of getting some respect. CS works very much like school in my eyes

heh, well when your not exactly in to the top threads, and hang with the well known people. Sometimes people can get pretty harsh. I've been bashed a couple times because I'm not very well known. . .

as for long strings I can find them annoying, but hey thats from a major roleplayers point of view, ya know, advanced kind of shun big amounts of ! ? . ect

Isn't it strange how if you're more well-known, you get like an aura of respect around you? People don't want to mess with you anymore, because you're well known around here...

It depends on who it is. xD I can think of someone in particular who is rather well-known in the boards I frequent, but is becoming somewhat infamous (for lack of a better, less-strong word) rather than respected. But I know what you mean. C:

If someone is truly being rude to you, especially for something as silly as not being very well-known, please do everyone a favor and report them. Any time people are being spiteful towards someone for no reason, it's best to nip it in the bud. ^^

Heh, I wish I could, but ya know, it was something about 'spread the love', and how some of the dogs were frowning, I thought it was a little stupid. Unfortunentaly, one of them was a 'colorful name'(not gonna name anyone) and all. I felt like if someone like Capricoon would've posted, and I think someone like Capri did post something like that, no one wouldn't said a word in disagreement.

From what I've seen, there are only a handful of people on CS who people are reluctant to disagree with based purely on who they are, and that's usually more because others figure those people are particularly wise on the subject and so are probably right than just 'oh, they're popular so I'd better agree with them'. You do occasionally see people leaping to agree with the 'famous' people, but really the vast majority are just as prone to getting argued with, yelled at, scolded, etc. as anyone else. XD I can only think of a few well-known people here who I've hardly ever seen argued with in the forums, and two of those are Tess and Nick (though I know they do get argued with a lot by PM). There are almost no well-known people that I've never seen someone complaining about. Basically, it doesn't matter how well-known you are around CS - the 'famous' people usually aren't treated much differently, but a lot of people assume that they are and complain bitterly about being ignored because someone 'famous' posted, that the 'famous' person won something over them just by being popular, that no one wants their art because everyone wants art from someone 'famous' instead, etc. It's probably one of the most common complaints I see, and one of the most unfounded. If an unknown person makes a good point, people are probably going to agree with them, even if a 'famous' person disagrees but makes a poor point. ^^ Also, as Coalchaser said, just because someone is well-known, that doesn't necessarily mean they're respected - they might be well-known for being on every art shop's Banned list. o.O

To bring this around to be mostly on-topic, something that annoys me is people assuming that 'famous' people get preference in the adoption centres. Maybe it's different in other adoption centres - I haven't checked, so I can't say for sure - but in mine at least, I don't even look at the names until the winning form has been determined. If in any doubt about my own objectivity, I bring in another judge who doesn't know any of the people involved just to be sure that I'm not biased, and lots of 'unknowns' have won characters. And yet people still say "You only give characters to famous people!" *headdesk* Ah, c'est la vie. XD

Obviously they only wanted one because Spotty made it, and that is a big pet peeve for me. When trying for a charrie, you should want them because they inspire you, or you click with the design, not because Spotty, or some other "famous" person donated it =.=

Sad that I have to mention things like these but..

Those who use an Editable Oekaki with the rule 'leave my signature on' and they still clearly disregard it, take it off or erase part of it. I don't want to lock threads like this for something so small but it's not fair to the artist who made the effort to make that lineart, some with the minimal requests to keep signatures on.

Spamming. These 1 word or spammy-short posts that are cropping up more these days.

Also the bad language level is increasing in the forum as far as I see. No one will tolerate it, I certainly won't. People should understand that they either leave it out, or change it to something that is not offensive.. like cupcakes.. or butterscotch. -.-

As for RL things, why does the paper boy keep shoving the paper half way through my letterbox forcing me to rip the thing to shreds when I try to retrieve it. I should have words with that boy.. but he won't understand my english.. -_-
