Ahum.
New point.

What if...
The animal abuser did not know it was wrong? I'd like to point out a medical diesease which means people do not have feelings such as empathy and sympathy, and do not understand the concept of those.

That is... an interesting situation.
Um, maybe they shouldn't own a pet in the first place? I don't know what to say on that. >.<

If you ask me, what you are calling 'Animals' are the same as us, and humans, I must say, aren't doing as great.

Sadly, I think I was the one that started the off-topic argument. I hope not.

No, even if they didn't own a pet, they'd.. experiment, around other animals
they sometimes end up causing harm to humans as well
often they turn into animal abusers/murderers if they don't have someone to explain and guide

Hm, interesting question. I saw an episode of Criminal Minds (don't worry it has a point xD) where a boy could not feel sympathy/empathy. He killed his brother and didn't feel bad about it, but he knew it was wrong. He just didn't feel regret. I think they are still capable of understanding it's bad

Lol love that show.
yes, animals have feeling too! So when they hurt someone thats not on purpose, they feel regreat.
When I play with my dogs, they sometimes play bite, hard, and i will say "oww!" and they will let go ;)

Someone owns a pet by taking care of it, feeding it and loving it

Actually, that's connecting to the original topic. Just because we weren't talking about non-humans, doesn't mean we weren't talking about animals. By definition, humans are animals.

Even if someone had a mental issue that didn't allow them to know sympathy and empathy doesn't mean they don't understand the concept of consiquence. If creatures react negatively to what they are doing, they would be aware they were doing something "bad".

About the 'putting humans in the wild w/o technology'
Well, the Natives did it, didn't they? No technology whatsoever. So I think our generation actually has a good chance of survival in the wild, given that we know more about nature than our ancestors.

There are plenty of endangered rabbits out there. And I can tell you, the other breeds of wolves have enough population already./stoptalkingaboutwolvesthisisn'tthethreadforthatArachnid

Yes, but I do not have any bonds with rabbits, as I do my pets. This topic is about animals including wolves. We are more populated or close to it, than any over mammal on earth. Predators and prey keep balance, but by us not having any predators and lots of prey, that makes us off- balance.

And how does that make you more close to a wolf? Have you ever met one? Have you ever been on a real incounter with one, not in the zoo? So you are saying that you would rather give your life for a random wolf than for a random rabbit- okay, I'll accept that, but I don't think it's right.

Actually I do have a strong connection to wolves and I have been near one in real life and it wasn't at a zoo! It's a long story, lets get back on topic! I think if it's fair to do horrible things to animals, shouldn't it be okay to do horrible things to humans? In- fact we are more populated, so we need a way to get our population down. If medical testing for humans, why not just try it on humans in the first place! If humans are really that loyal to one another, than they should for another human's safety!

Be the main carer of it, and such.
I 'own' two kittens, as I care for them and I am their mother figure, they see themselves as mine
not all animals do, mind you,
but mine are wusses

@Rod;
But how would they know if it was a negative reaction? To them, lashing out might just be normal

I know, I meant the part about "If you ask me, what you are calling 'Animals' are the same as us, and humans, I must say, aren't doing as great." I think that might of started it. But I agree, anyways.
