My mom was there, but it was just her... he was being pretty good, and then I was doing a change of direction at the canter. He started doing a lead change, then took off galloping and threw a giant buck. He bucks weird - his front end pretty much stops, and then his back end goes POP! I went flying over his head and landed on my back. Uman trotted away to graze, and my mom went running for help... I thought that I was going to die, my back hurt so much, but I was worried that Uman was going to step on the reins and hurt himself, so I dragged myself over to him. I got the reins and just sat on a jump until my trainers came. One of them, Taylor, rode Uman and he tried the same thing with her 3 times and she almost popped over his head like I did. She worked him super hard until he was literally dripping with sweat. The other trainer took me up in the truck and I went home. :C My entire back hurts really bad, and the lower part of my spine is swelling. Apparently, I might have cracked a vertebrae, so I have to go get x-rays tonight. My shoulders, head, and back hurt so bad... I want these damn pain meds to kick in already
HANO! Oh my gosh! *hugs lightly, so it doesn't hurt you* Was he just being lazy, spooked, trying to be boss, ect?
This morning, I was in tears over riding, it seems niw, it a waiting game to see when Doc is going to throw me, and I'm horrified, I really didn't want to ride. But my snooty cousin came over and I had to ride. He was being extremely lazy, so I put spurs on him, which is always a mixture for disaster. So yeah...

And then stick the "inside" leg into his side, to keep him off the barrel, then tap, tap, tap with the "outside" leg to push around the barrel. It just so...so...awesome, I love it to pieces and poles are awesome, poles are basically side pass, side pass, side pass, six times, and then the final turn is a barrel turn. If you get to ride the barrels, lemme know, I would love to hear what you think.
PS: Western saddles, are heavy compared to english saddle, just a heads up, there not heavy for my because I've ridden since I was like...2? Enough of my babel.
Sounds very fun. I've watched before and done cones and I set up the three cones in the pattern and trotted it with her a few times, and so I've done a few turning things like that, but I really want to try on a horse that knows what they are doing, not just a horse that is only listening to what I say.
And I've ridden Western twice lately, on Nina. It's comfyyy. Except she was a complete brat the second time when I got on, sidestepping and trying to race around despite the fact that I had her in a circle, and half rearing and leaping four feet off the ground. All with me with one stirrup, cause I couldn't catch it quick enough before she started her 'moments'. But yeah, I've carried and held and put on a Western saddle a few times lately. Although they do feel very very heavy seeing as the western room is at the complete opposite side of the barn as where Nina was.
It's it comfy? Aw...I just love, espically (sp?) when Doc is having a good, day and we a perfect together, he has the must collected, smooth lope, and out in the pasture it's a dream

But lately, he's being a big o' brat!
