Okayyy, so I have this horse who is such a shy head at bridling. We always need two people to bridle her even if it's an adult or the most expirinced rider I know. She jerks away and never lets the bit near her mouth even if it's a life and death sittuation. Any ideas of how I can train her to stand still and make it easier for me?

I would put molasses on the bit and get some on your hand let her taste and smell it on your hand then have her get the bit in her mouth but as soon as she says no just stop wait a minute and try again, the book I read said try it two or three times in a day then leave it alone, but the horse has to have a really good relationship with you first, the book is The body language of horses and its really good and the person who basically gave all the tips and instruction for this book is amazing!

Is she tied when you tack up? That would help. Lots of horses are girthy. And freaked out in what way when he tried to get on? If lots of people ride her she may be getting frustrated, or if he sat down heavily she could be sensitive to that.

That would help, and I think my grandfather made the bad choice of trying to get on in the barn

Getting on in the barn would be a bad idea. Sometimes, something like that horses aren't used to, so it scares and startles them. To us it's just getting on, but to them it might be a whole different situation to have someone get on inside the barn.

Okay my trainer let a birthday party into the barn to get some extra cash. Worst thing ever! I love kids, but 15 six year olds takes it a little over board! My and my friends started out with 5 kids in our "group" I turn around five minutes later and we have 7 kids following us. (to make things better my friends hate kids so it all fell on me). They were running down the sailed and being tottal brats! Thankfully all of the pyhco horses at the barn were out (we only made the old men and a little laid back pony called Sophie stay in.) so they did not spoke. We survived (barely) but after they left we had a blast! We bought 60+ bucks worth if pizza and ran around like phycos(at least I did). We went bobbing for apples and I ended up having so much energy I sprinted around the arena twice. After all That while my friends were riding (I rode on Friday. Had a good lesson. My friend jumped a 3'6 line. Were so proud of her! But she flipped out and rode them all deep) I brought Replay up and groomed yer till she shined. It was a fun day, even if I didn't ride.....
