Of course animals have souls. They feel sadness, they get scared, they get happy they feel all the emotions. My old dog fly bit me once, because I accidentally stepped on her paw. My mother gave her a row and a few minutes later she came over all sad with her ears and tail down licking me. And of course animals play a HUGE role in our daily lives, it's almost impossible to imagine my life without animals. Millions of people make their living off animals, you try going to them and saying animals aren't important. And if you had a pet you would see just how important they are. Animals aren't something you can just throw away if you get bored of them, although many people try. I have six dogs, thirteen ponies and I would risk my life to save them, and I have even broken my leg trying to help on of my dogs before.
I had an old horse called Mulberry, she was A Welsh pony. The little girls at my school used to stop and give her treats and pet her in the croft she was in. Mulberry loved little children. Everybody in the school loved her, the teachers, the children and the parents. We had some offers for her but we turned them down. The little children used to write stories about the wee white unicorn. Then one day Mulberry died. Everybody cried, even the two vets that put her down. Then next morning I went into school and all the little children rushed towards me because they didn't see Mulberry in his field. I had to sit them down and tell them very gently what had happened. It has been over two years now and they still draw pictures of her.
