Who owns an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler?

Postby wajas » Mon Dec 12, 2011 7:38 am

Hi! I have a Blue Heeler named Kiwi, who I just got yesterday. I have fallen in love with this breed once I stepped foot onto my dad's new home, at a ranch. They are so beautiful! If you have one, please post a photo, their name, and what you love about your dog! :D

Yeah, I guess they can be that way. :) My dog is pretty calm, she just barks at the donkies and horses... She also tends tp be a dare devil and jump off the golf cart when its moving.

Aw, your guys' dogs are so cute! I have an Australian Cattle Dog/ German Shepherd mix. I'll show a picture later because I don't have one currently with me now, but I love her to death. You can only tell Scout's a Australian Cattle Dog now that she's grown because she still has her speckled paws, but she looked just like an Australian Cattle Dog when she was a pup.

We have 3 Mini Blue Heelers, 1 Mini Red Heeler, and 1 Mini Aussie :) The 3 blues are Jake (male), Queen (female), Blue (male. how original huh?), the Red Heeler is Hooey (male. like in tie down roping-a wrap and a hooey. haha), and Aussie (female. Again, how original?)
There's something to be said for a place that hasn't had all the rough rode out of it.

Sometimes. It depends. Aussie LOVES to play, Hooey likes to play also.

Mistery is a stumpy-tail, and I think she's jealous of Cooper's full feathery tail. XD When she gets upset or annoyed at something she flops and chews on him, pulls his tail and tugs his ears until I rescue him. Poor guy. XD Mistery's hilarious though, a complete farmdog yet when we're at home she's uber sweet and cuddly. c:
