Yes! I know that, and I have said it many times! But unfortunately humans have been messing with these dogs for too long, that they have gotten too dangerous. If the government had done something earlier then this breed would have been saved from this!

Yes clearly if you banned/killed all pit bulls then there would simply would be less pit bulls and therefor less attacks. But if we banned/killed all people then wouldn't there be less robbery and murder. Sure pits are big strong dogs so clearly deadly dog attacks are usually done by pits, but that's because there bigger and stronger then most dogs. If a little chihuahua nips you it's no problem. If a pit nips you you burst out bleeding. I visit the animal shelter quite often and not once have I seen a pit bull show any signs of aggression and there are quite a lot of pits there. So I don't see why we should kill or ban them because of that.

No. Any dog breed can be turned into something nasty, but none of them deserve to be destroyed. A dog that has bitten a human needs serious rehabilitation and training before being rehomed into an experienced home. The entire breed doesn't need to be wiped off of the face of the earth because a few idiots ruined it, we just need to help better the breed.
