I have a question for my Cat.

So..., I have a Cat, I have him for many years. But vor a while, he is blind. He can't see anything. This is not a real problem because he knows his way around the house, He snuggles still much, etc.
But I would like to give him something to play..., but I really don't know what I can give him. He love Boxes and wrapping paper, but since he is blind, he don't play much with them.

Does someone know what I can give him? He is very curious and playful and I would be happy when I can give him something what makes him happy. ^^

wow that seems a bit tricky well...what I would do is get him a ball that jingles and try putting catnip or one of his tasty treats inside of the Ball, that way when he touches it and makes it roll he can hear it and maybe even smell it so it makes it more fun for him I hope this helps a lot if not I'm terribly sorry i don't usually talk much on her because Im worried I might start an argument over something silly

Thank you! This sounds really good! *~* My Cat can't hear low tones, but I think a jingle would be perfekt! *~*

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. I haven't had much experience playing with blind cats, but I've experimented with operating without sight a few times, and smells and sounds would help a lot. Basically just think of what senses he does have, and focus on those. Focusing on what he lacks only narrows your perspective. Experiment a little if you want, just be safe.

I'd love to just meet a naturally blind cat some day... I've met more than a few old animals that went blind from old age, but never one that was born blind.

Yea..., I want to meet a naturally blind cat too, it would be very interesting! Sometimes I help in the shelter, possibly there is a blind cat someday. But I hope for the cats that they can see. ^^'

Soo, thank you for your help! *~^ The jingle Ball is a wondeful Idea!

I know this has already been answered, but perhaps one of those sticks with a feather/some other thing on it would be good too? I think the ones at my pet store jingled, too, although I've never had a blind cat, we do have a pretty old cat XD

I've decided on a name for my foster boy! I'm gonna call him Oscar

I started working with him today, and he seems very sweet. I may try to pet him at some point today depending on how it goes. (With gloves on and a thick jacket to protect skin just in case.)

I wish I could find my dang clicker! I always seem to lose it when I need it!

Me and Alexis had a stray foster kitty once. Her name was Vegas. Our parents wouldn't let us bring her in though. One day she vanished. Nearly a year later she came back looking amazingly cared for and then left and never came back. Looks like she found a home.

I couldn't bring him in if I wanted to lol. Ivan puffed up twice the size when I first brought him in, Jez looked terrified. Princess (dog) nearly tore open her face and scared the heck out of Oscar when we let her into the yard last night. (She is going to have to be walked while he is in the kennel in the yard lol!)

Oscar did great with me petting him today! Started with thick gloves on and he seemed to enjoy it, so I used my bare hand! He didn't look like he wanted to bite or scratch me at all! I even opened the cage a bit and pet him, and he snuck past to get to the food. Didn't try to run though!

I do not think he is litter trained, so anyone know how to litter train a cat? He's full grown

I also need to know how to litter train a cat before I murder Sterling.
