Alright cool, thanks! If I do end up switching, I'll definitely do a LOT of research before hand, and probally try to find a vet that can point me in the right direction. While I understand that vets aren't always right, I still would prefer to have one help me out, so I don't hurt any of my cats from doing something wrong.

Yeah, I totally agree. My mom loves our vet, but agrees that my cat needs to go to a vet who understands a raw diet. While our vet isn't totally against raw, he knows nothing about it. On the other hand, our dogs will be switching to freeze dried raw, but staying with our vet. Greyhounds are difficult dogs to medicate and treat, and our vet is very experienced with them. His knowledge of greyhounds is more important than if he supports raw or not, in that case.

^^ Cats are strict meat eaters and should not be given anything other then that.
Lucky can open doors, lmao. The basement door was not closed and she found a way to open it more.

We have the same debate every few weeks, and it always ends badly. There is an entire thread dedicated to it, if people feel the need to discuss it then they'd be better off going there.

Using the average weight of a cat here.

12 x 16 = 192 x 3% = 5.76 x 7 = 40.32 ounces p/week

32.26 ounces meat p/week [4.608 per day - three meals a day - 1.536 per meal.]
4.03 ounces bone p/week
2.02 ounces liver p/week
2.02 ounces non-liver organ p/week

Does this look about right for a raw diet? [not ground.]
Are supplements [fish oil, etc.] necessary?

I used a raw feeding app to calculate mine.
"I try twice as hard and I'm half as liked, but here they come again to jack my style."
In real life I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, 26 rats, 2 gerbils, 2 cockroaches, 1 turtle, 1 axolotl, and 8 fish.

Actually that thread is dedicated to indoor cats. The indoor vs outdoor debate is not allowed there either :)

Ah, I see. Due to it's previous title (and comments) I just assumed it was a debating thread.
    Nevermind, then. c:
