i have a 1 year old[2 sometime in march] female kitty, she's been spayed also. Ever since we got her as a kitten we've been having problems, but something in me just won't let me give up on her. I posted here I while back when we were having problems with aggression[we still are.. But it's not nearly as bad as before.] and once when she was peeing all over the house. We previously determined that she had a uti, and the vet said that she was just showing that she didn't feel well by peeing in other places. She has peed in my bed COUNTLESS times, but only when the sheets are visible. After getting rid of her uti this behavior stopped completely. Now, here we are, about a year later. A few days ago I woke up to her acting like she was burying something on my feet. At first I laughed it off thinking she was trying to get me up to be fed early, then I realized my feet were wet. She has never peed in my bed with me in it before! I replaced the soiled blankets and washed them with a product called fizzion that's supposed to get the smell out very well, it's never failed me. My mom drove her up to the vet later in the day because she had also been having diarrhea and we figured she must be sick. The vet sent her home with some pills and all was good. For a while at least. I was heading to bed today and my bed reeked of urine. My black light showed a huge puddle. I really have no idea what the problem could be at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions? My mom and I always joke around and say that she's hit her head to many times as an excuse for her odd behavior but I'm afraid something is really wrong.

My youngest cat used to pee everywhere in the house, especially in the corners, or even in the cat's bed. We first thought it could be because she wanted to mark her territory, but then we figured out it could be because of the litter box or the cat litter itself. We got a new box and changed the litter, and keep it as clean as possible... While we're not quite sure if this had been the problem, she is clean now.
I guess though that's not the reason for your cat being unclean, so here we go. Reasons why a cat's peeing anywhere but where it should, could be insecurity, anxiety, etc. A bed is soft, but also smells of the one who uses it, and it could be the cat's looking for security and comfort.
Did the vet only make a basic check? While I don't want to give medical advice, I want to say that diabetes, cystitis and uroliths could be a reason for a cat to urinate at different places. I suggest to go to the vet again, and ask for a blood analysis, or something.

Like kitty said my sisters cat does that, only he just wants to move the water bowl... Both dogs and cats participate in this behavior, im not sure about dogs but I know cats like to drink from flowing water, that why some might see cats drinking from sinks. Its a normal behavior I wouldn't think to much of it, he probably just likes flowing water, whether to see moving water of drink from it. I hope this answers your question.

My cat seems to be always hungry. He's constantly looking for things on the floor to eat :/ He eats the recommended amount of raw for his weight, and I've tried adding more, but he just gets fat. I have no idea what to do. I'm going to try giving him a 1oz snack in the middle of the day and seeing how that helps.

I am guessing you feed him raw? I would suggest feeding him in the morning and at night, also switching to a dry food might help, just make sure some sort of meat it first on the ingrediants... If it doesnt get better I would go to the vet but if I were you I would try a few diffrent types of food. Also cat grass might help, the grass would give him something to chew on and it would help his digestive system (he wont go to the litter more though c;)
    Hope this helps!

He's a kitten, and he's eating the recommended amount for an adult his size. If I feed him the recommended amount for a kitten (which is twice the adult amount), he just gets fat. He gets two meals a day. I do feed him raw, and I won't be introducing dry food. Dry food is one of the worst things you can feed cats, unfortunately. Not to mention, since switching to raw, the litter box has no smell at all lol never going back to dry or canned for that reason!

You can also try feeding his meal to him throughout the day instead of all during his two mealtimes. That way he isn't going hours between meals.

I hope giving him a small snack in the afternoon will help. The weird thing is he's usually snooping around for food right after his breakfast rather than in between meals. Like I'm not giving him enough, but I'm giving him as much as I can without him putting on the pounds!
