those soft bites are also called "lovebites" and they're an invitation to play ;) the easiest way to stop it is to get him another kitty to play with ;)
if that's not possible, you should play with him before he starts biting/inviting you to.

(Contrary to general belief you can educate a cat, if he wants to bite your face, ignore him and go away (shortly) and always reward wanted behaviour )

Just finished bathing my cat Devil, now he smells like lavender and feels softer then a feather <3
But when I bathed my other 2 cats they didn't really like it but for some reason they were purring all the time even though they were struggling to get out of the water XD but now they smell lovely and feel soft too <3

When we got our cat Elmo from a rescue centre my mum had to give him a bath because the poor thing had mange, he has hated her ever since

Aww poor thing <3 When our other cat Pomba (Ginger tom who ran away) got bitten by a brown snake and was at the vet my mums boyfriend bought us a kitten that looked exactly like Pomba and be names him p.j (Pomba junior) but sense he got him at the pet shop he had flees and dihorea on the first day so my mum had to clean him (even though she was pregnant and wasn't allowed to go near cats this was 2-3 years ago) and once he was clean the next day he somehow had fleas even though he wasn't outside and everything was secure so eventually he had to go back :( I still miss him but stuff happens)

I'm sorry but the myth that cats are dangerous to pregnant women and young children is absolute crap. There's no evidence whatsoever.

If you cat is purring in the bath they're either enjoying it or they're scared.

Jazi, please can I steal her? So pretty omg <3

That's not entirely true ;)
Cats can carry the parasite Toxoplasma gondii and as long as the mother isn't immune (ie has antibobies against T.gondii) a first infection within the first trimester of a pregnancy could result in a miscarriage or deformation of the embryo/unborn child if you don't get medical treatment with antibiotics.
That basically means pregnant women with unknown antibody status should handle their cats (especially the toilet) with care, meaning wear gloves when cleaning the the litter box etc.
But if you have handled cats all your life you're probably immune and also cats aren't the sole carrier for T.gondii (raw pork or lamb are the main source for human infection).

Exactly. What little risk there is can be prevented by good hygiene practices. Instead of doing this, many people find out that they are pregnant and then get rid of their cats.

Chicken Meal is actual meat, BUT dead, dying, diseased and disabled are allowable chicken meal ingredients.

My house has been taking over by cats. We've went from the 1 cat rule to a multi cat household(6!). All but the 2 orange tabbies have blue eyes (Im a sucker for blue, lol) The orange tabbies are both 9 years old and were suppose to be fosters, but no one has shown interest in them, so they will be staying.
I can't get a good picture of Marshmallow to show her coloring, unless the others, I dont trust her enough to go outside with me.

Well... He is around 6-7 years old and we already have 2 young cats and his grandmother... He is acting as if he is jealous and keeps trying to be more dominant then the other cats :/ when I go to walk away from him he simply follows me. If it's lovebites (I looked up why he was nipping and I found that as well) then would he ever like draw blood or will be always be gentle?

ahhhh orange cats are presh <333
good on you for keeping them! thats admirable :)

yes, but, arent diseased chickens boiled to kill bacteria, then dehydrated to keep out bacteria, and finally put into cat food??
    i think that cat food is so processed that there's the absolute smallest chance that your feline is going to contract an avian disease ^^;

I am a cat addition!!!!!! I have two tabby cats. One is peach (peaches), and one is grey(stormy. Stormy has a cut tail, it is half a tail. It happened when she was little, so we don't know why :( my other cat, peaches is adventurous. Too, adventurous! He was gone for 3 months. People kept trying to buy him from us!!! One day, my neighbor, Lauren, she saw a cat in the other neighbors window that looked suspiciously like peaches. We went in, and it was peaches!!!! We have no idea HOW he got there. Lol

Probably is, I was reading about it, then I got to the part that said "much like cereal" and I stopped reading, I like my cereal, I dont want to compare the 2,lol.
We've all grown to like the 2 tabbies and instead of them trying to adjust some where else, we will just keep them.
