In other news
This kitten has decided to live with us ono
It's been eating out food for the past few days and it seems to want to stay.
It won't let us pick it up and our cats don't chase it away, we think its a girl and may Have an owner but it lacks a collar.
we will ask around to see if anyone knows it but its beautiful and reminds me of all our past and present cats combined <3
If she wants to stay for the winter we won't let her freeze and we have enough money to put down extra food now.
I hope she stays ^^
Its strange, she keeps following us and she seems to not have an owner but shes well-fed and happy to come in and out of the cat-flap as she pleases.

What do people think of the product sot paws for cats?? I have been looking around at them and am considering them for my indoor cat Archie. I cut his nails every few weeks, but he still tries sharpens his claws on the carpet or furniture when we cant see him despite having a large scratching post... And he often likes to smell my feet ( strange i know ) and if i try to get my foot back, well out come the claws and suddenly there are holes in my socks...Anyone had any luck with soft paws?? I want to get some advice before approaching my parents with the idea!

And his badnss is like he attack you when you pick him up and when we got him the lady said he loves to be picked up and he will attack u when you pet him and he pees on stuff and we got him fixed. He runs around the house scared

Re home them? That's a bad idea, a cattery would be your best option, or keep them in for winter and watch them outside for summer

How is rehoming a bad idea? It's perfectly responsible to rehome animals.

Bumping back up, as I'd still like help with the tree.

Does anyone happen to know of any DIYs for cat trees? Preferably ones that I'd be able to take down to store.

I figured a cat tree would make an awesome playground for my ferret. But, I don't want to pay pet shop prices, don't want it covered in fur, and want to be able to take it down & shove it out of the way when she's not out.

Also, anyone ever DIYed a wand teaser toy? They're the ferret's favourite thing ever, but the ones in pet shops lately are either horribly over-priced, or the elastic is crap, and not bouncy enough.

My house cats started to defecate on my bed and it's become a weekly thing.
We have not made any dramatic changes to the cats life but need some advice to what I can do because it's become unbearable. We moved the litter tray because I'm worried it might be too close to his food bowl.

He's never had problems defecating when he was a kitten. So this is quite worrying. Any help is appreciated a lot!

You need to take him to the vet. Any time behavior changes drastically and suddenly, the vet needs to be your first step. Their diagnoses can change the way you resolve the issue.

How old is he? What type of litter are you using? Have you recently changed it? How many litter boxes do you have? Is he declawed?

Scratching isn't just to sharpen claws. It's also to mark territory. Put cardboard scratchers (you can get them for like a dollar at places like Walmart) down next to the couch and in other areas he regularly scratches. He also may not like the scratching post you have. Some cats are particular. I have nothing against soft paws but I prefer trying other means first.
